GOOD NEWS!  At the ALR Advisory Committee meeting today, Terry Zamell and Nancy McDonald announced that the medication administration program will be moved to the ALR Program!

On 8/24/11, the Colorado Department Of Health issued information indicating that they were considering adopting a new part to the Chapter II General Licensure Standards that addresses influenza immunization of healthcare workers.  The essential provisions were that each healthcare entity licensed by the Department would be required to develop a policy regarding the annual influenza immunization of all its workers, including those that are volunteers or contractors. That policy, at a minimum, would require the healthcare entity to ensure all its workers have an annual influenza vaccination or a written exemption to the vaccination for medical or religious reasons.

Continue to celebrate the unusual in 2011!  This year we are going to experience four unusual dates: 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, and 11/11/11.  October 2011 has 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays & 5 Saturdays.
